New certification requirements in effect

On September 1, 2015, Ontario’s teacher education program changed. The four-semester program with an increased practicum of 80 days includes an enhanced focus in areas such as special education, how to teach using technology, and diversity. As a result of these changes, new teacher education program requirements for certification also took effect on September 1, 2015. Learn more.
