Academic Records and Transcripts

Academic records and transcripts must be sent directly to us from the institution in question, in the language of their jurisdiction. If the language is not English or French, we will send these documents to you for translation. We must receive records for any degree or program you include on your application form.

Records and transcripts must include:

  • the name of the degree
  • the date it was granted
  • the dates you attended
  • an original seal and signature of the registrar
  • the hours of study per course, for each term or year
  • your marks in each course.

Include the following details, if applicable:

  • the number of weeks, grade levels and subjects you taught as a student teacher
  • grade levels and subjects for your teaching methodology courses
  • the language of instruction
  • the delivery method (for certifying distance education programs, we require a face-to-face practicum required for certification)
  • if your program focused on the secondary level, the subjects for which you completed course work.

Cover letter

If your degrees were earned outside Canada or the U.S.A, the registrar of the institution will need to include a cover letter that includes:

  • the institution’s seal
  • the registrar’s signature
  • your name as it appears on your application form to us
  • your College application number
  • any of the information on this page that is not covered in your transcripts.
