Council Meeting Summary
During its June 8 meeting, College Council:
- approved the Public and Stakeholder Engagement Pathways policy, along with consequential updates to the College website
- received a quarterly report from the Chair of Council
- received a quarterly report from the Registrar & CEO
- received a quarterly financial report for the period ending March 31, 2023
- approved proposed amendments to sections 4.07, 14.02, and 27 of the College Bylaws
- received a briefing note on the Sexual Abuse Prevention Program
- received an update on requests for changes in legislation or regulations made by Council and the current status of each request
- received a summary of conduct and behaviour guidelines for Council members
- provided general direction to College staff to work with Ministry of Education staff on regulatory language for a new transitional certificate that would allow students enrolled in initial teacher education programs in Ontario to work in publicly funded schools as occasional/supply teachers while completing their studies
- received a report from the Audit and Finance Subcommittee and approved the appointment of auditors for the College for the 2024 fiscal year
- received a report of the Registration Appeals Committee
- received various correspondence.
