Council Meeting Summary
During its December 8 meeting, College Council:
- received a quarterly report from the Chair of Council
- received a quarterly report from the Interim Registrar & CEO
- received a quarterly financial report for the period ending September 30, 2022
- received a report from the Audit and Finance Subcommittee
- approved the College's 2023 budget, which includes a member fee of $200
- received a report from the Selection and Nominating Subcommittee and approved the subcommittee’s recommendation for reappointments with terms of office starting on January 1, 2023
- received a report from the Fitness to Practise Committee
- received a report from the Discipline Committee
- received a report from the Adjudicative Body of Chairs
- received various correspondence to and from the Minister of Education, the Deputy Minister of Education, the Deputy Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, and from the Chief Coroner
- participated in an information session on the role the College plays in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in Ontario’s classrooms
- moved into a special meeting of Council
- approved an amendment to the College bylaws that aligns with legislated content requirements for the public register
- approved an amendment to the College bylaws to change the annual membership fee to $200
- moved to an in-camera meeting and received a report from the Human Resources Subcommittee.
