The Ontario College of Teachers licenses, governs and regulates the province’s teaching profession in the public interest and to protect students. All publicly funded school teachers and administrators in Ontario must be licensed by us and be Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT).

Section 33.02 of the College bylaws requires that the Registrar develop procedures for maintaining a list of members of a roster. On January 1, 2019, these procedures were updated to address the appointment of College members at large and to further enhance the overall transparency of the process.
