Members' Rights

We are legally obligated to ensure the protection of members’ rights throughout our investigation and disciplinary processes. This includes the member’s right to:

  • an impartial investigation
  • be advised to seek legal assistance
  • be provided with information gathered during the investigation of a complaint
  • provide a written response to the complaint
  • timely processing of the investigation
  • consideration of the complaint by a committee composed of practising members of the College in good standing and members of the public
  • to use French in all communications with the College during the investigation and hearings processes
  • a written decision or written decision and reasons.

Confidentiality

For reasons of confidentiality, we cannot comment on expressions of concern, complaints, investigations or matters proceeding under the complaint resolution process. If a complaint is referred to the Discipline Committee, details are available on the College’s website.
